With Kompreno gives readers access to different perspectives from different countries on current topics - even beyond their own or national points of view. The service may also be of interest to people who read multilingually, are learning a language or are looking for German-language texts with international content.

Kompreno offers selected articles from newspapers and magazines, including Le Monde, Die Zeit, Huffington Post, MO*, brand eins and more than 30 other trusted sources, in several languages, including German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.

Kompreno also offers convenience functions such as personal recommendations and a personal reading list. These functions are geared towards individual use, while library access is deliberately kept general.

The service is free of advertising. This creates a quiet and distraction-free reading environment.

How can you use Kompreno?

To use the service, you need a PC or mobile device with Internet access and a valid Hofheim public library card. Open the following link in your browser: https://login.ebibliotheken-hessen.de

First select "Stadtbücherei Hofheim" and log in with the number on your library card and your personal password. Find the Kompreno tile on the dashboard and click on it. You will now be shown a code - also enter your e-mail address and create a one-off user name and password.
